Who we are
Quality Design & Construction, formerly Quality Home Improvements by David J. Mackowski, has been a full service design and build contractor serving the Triangle since August 1994.
The standard the company was founded on has not changed: do the work Dave would find acceptable in his own home. That is the measure every crew is held to, and it is the reason we keep our staff full-time and train them ourselves rather than assembling a different team for every job.
Dave and Peggy Mackowski both hold the Certified Graduate Remodeler designation and the Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist designation from the National Association of Home Builders. Peggy has served three terms as Chairperson of the Remodelers Council of the Raleigh/Wake County Home Builders Association, and was named its Remodeler of the Year in 2022.

Never move againis the other half of what we do. Aging-in-place design lets people stay in the home they chose, through wheelchair-accessible layouts, motorised stair lifts and bathrooms retrofitted with curbless showers, transfer seats and grab bars.
